The Big Dig

Tuesday night the week of the John Deere Classic in Iowa City, John Deere puts on a fun family night at their test site for players and families.  My niece, nephew, sister, mom and dad got to come over and enjoy the fun too!  The kids absolutely loved it!  They couldn't get enough.  The kids could ride little gators, get balloons made, face paint, try out simulators, get in the big tractors and move them around, watch a tractor show and saw fireworks!  What a great night!

On your marks, get set, GO!!  Notice how Con doesn't have anyone pushing him…well, Aunt Jill was taking pics (of course) and everyone else was standing on the side watching and when everyone went Con was going slow and everyone else fast cause of their pushers.  Finally Sara yelled at me to go push Con cause he was about to tear up cause he was left in the dust.  Jonathan Byrd, one of the nicest guys, noticed Conley getting sad so he grabbed his tractor, turned it around and pushed him and his daughters tractor to the finish line.  Then of course later that night he asked me how come I didn't come push him in the race.  Sorry buddy!!!!  :(

The kids stayed with me in my hotel room Tuesday night after the Big Dig so we could go to the zoo the next day.  Don't know if you can tell, but this is how we slept all in ONE bed…Me on the left, Shay in the middle moving all around and Con on the right.
